We exist to support the cultivation and enjoyment of Native Plants within northwest San Diego County and to provide community education on the benefits of Native Plants. The Buena Vista Native Plant Crew, a loosely organized group that meets every Monday at 10am at the Nature Center to take care of the grounds, propagate California natives and learn from each other. All tools and gloves are provided. Come any Monday ready to work, no notice required. Every year in April, we sponsor a 1.

This presentation is an introduction to some of those original people, now called medicinal plants. Their medicine and gifts to the people are as valuable as they have been since time immemorial.

With 20 years teaching experience, medicinal plants and local customs are the heart of Ami's programming. The lens through which Ami and her team view their work is the reduction of trauma and healing for the young people in our shared communities.

the Acorn Maidens as they weave 'hats' to get ready for their journey! Artwork and Narration created and presented by the Rincon Youth Storytellers. The Rincon Youth Storytellers RYS are Native youth, grades 4 - HS, who have made a commitment to the healing of their communities through the preservation of language and culture.

Travelling throughout San Diego and Riverside Counties, the RYS share the games, stories, and songs of their ancestors; providing assemblies and presentations for schools, conferences, and local agencies.
