Charles Avenue. Our de and decor reflect the lush gardens, distinctive architecture and diverse culture of the Garden District. Most of the street is a mix of residential and commercial buildings, generally older houses from the later nineteenth century and similarly aged commercial stretches consisting of antique shops, clothing boutiques, restaurants, and bars. It is only 5 blocks down from the hotel and about a minute walk. You may also ask the front desk for a booklet of what Magazine Street offers.

With its elegant and relaxed setting, Mr. John's offers more than steak. Veal, fresh fish and lobster dot the menu. Reservations recommended. Nestled in the Garden District stands this turquoise and white Victorian fantasy of a building, complete with turrets, columns and gingerbread.

Located on Tchoupitoulas Street, it is best to beat the New Orleans heat with their famous shaved ice and homemade syrups. They are open during Spring to Fall seasons. You start by picking your seafood, your flavor, and then choosing your heat level.

The menu also includes crawfish, shrimp, mussels, clams, snow crab, king crab, and Dungeness crabs. Street level meeting space includes high ceilings, floor-ceiling windows, private garden access. Second level boardroom includes boardroom set up, private bathroom, serving area and natural lighting. I love staying in the Garden District.

The hotel is in the Garden district just a few blocks away from the Lafayette cemetery, the neighborhood lends itself for nice walks. It is also just a short streetcar ride away from the French Quarter. The staff was very nice, plus the restaurant on the ground floor was extremely convenient the night we arrived with good food.

This was one of the nicest hotel rooms my husband and I have ever had. We are now retired and were in New Orleans for the last 4 days of our annual 'spring road trip'; we had not been in the city for 39 years. It was in a great location - the Garden district, with a trolley stop and ATM right in front of the hotel. We parked the car with the courteous valet and never moved it for four days.

The room was immaculate, the linens crisp, the towels soft. The bathroom was spacious, had a large glassed-in shower with soft water.

The bed was super comfy. The price was a little high on weekends as we know many hotels do thisbut reasonable on weekdays.
